The Hour of Coding

Hello World,

It has been a while since I last posted.  I have been extremely busy with life, but I am back.  I am definitely going to get my scholars at CAACS to participate in the hour of coding.  You should get your students, children, colleagues also involved too.  For more information check http://code.org/hourofcode Also check out the video below:

What Most Schools Don't Teach - Short Film

This is the 9 minute version.  Enjoy.
Good Morning Everyone,

Happy New Year!  It has been a while since my last post.  I have been real busy adjusting to married life (6 months married now), going to graduate school part-time and of course working full time.  I came across an article in the New York Times about coding.  Check out the article by clicking this link . I have posted a video within the article on my blog.  Enjoy.

Coding

Hello World,

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!  During this week off, I had sometime to re-polish and renew my coding skills.  For those of you that do not know what coding is, it is a another term for computer programming or developing software.  I stumbled upon a real cool website called Codeacademy (www.codeacademy.org).   It is a really cool website for those who are interested in learning how to code and it is absolutely free.  If you have some leisure time and are interested in creating interactive websites, apps or just curious into computer programming take a look at codeacademy.  Until then, see you later.
